Love/Hate

Hate

 * Being so unwell again - I now have a sore throat, cough from hell and am burning up so bad...go away flu or whatever you are!

* When people don't move there handbag from the seats on buses or public transport - I had to ask a women on the bus the other day to move her handbag so I could sit down! 

* People who do nothing in work and get all the credit for everything - this is happening in work at the moment and its so annoying.

Love

* That the hubby got me these Sleep in Rollers - can't wait to use them when I am better! So he did get the 100's of hints I left around!

* Our new wifi Internet - after months of bad Internet we changes providers and got a great deal on our new wifi package.

* My hubby he is so good - first he spoiled me for Valentines day and then when I wasn't feeling well at the restaurant last night he arranged it that we could go back again when I was feeling better. I am a lucky girl x

Paul really spoiled me & I think it's nice after nine years together we still enjoy Valentines Day

I got my Mammy a rose & my Daddy a box of chocolates after all they where my Valentines long before Paul!

I had been hinting for these like made can't wait to try them out!

I have spent most of my day feeling poorly with a sore head and sore throat...drinking lemon & honey with painkillers not my idea of a great Valentine's day!

I am off now to try get ready as Paul has a table booked in the place where we had our first date...he is so sweet!! Time to drag myself off the sofa and try make myself look somewhat decent!

Pancake Day!

Hope you all had a lovely pancake day! Ours was a little rushed as we both had work till late but come 7pm we where pancake ready!! Paul likes his with chocolate sauce where as I'm more of a lemon and sugar kind of girl!!

 

We also had pancakes Friday morning for breakfast isn't it funny we go pancake crazy this month and yet I might not have them again till next year!!

Hope you all enjoyed pancake Tuesday and are not too stuffed for Valentine chocolates tomorrow!

Five Things 6/52

Another weekend over..where does the time go? We had a lovely long weekend as it was Paul's birthday on Friday and we both had the day off work. We had a weekend of staying in, nights out, eating, drinking, visiting family, watching movies, late nights, lie ins and cooking roast. It was a great weekend but to be honest I am shattered and could do with two more days off! Here are my five things for this weekend!

Before we even had breakfast on Friday morning we got online to get Fleetwood Mac tickets. The first night in the O2 in Dublin sold out in minutes but we did get tickets for the second night which was quickly added after the first night sold out. I was so pleased and am now looking forward to 21st of September to see my favourite band!

Pancakes for breakfast we couldn't wait until Tuesday and had yummy pancakes and maple sauce it was scrummy!!

Paul's birthday presents after Fleetwood Mac tickets and before pancakes, Paul opened his birthday presents. He loved his present and was like a big kid opening them!

Dinner out in Nando's it was our first time there and the chicken is to die for! Loved the lemon and herb chicken breast. We will be going back again!

This little one! This is our niece Ella and she adores her uncle Paul! She came up to wish her Uncle Paul a Happy Birthday this weekend. We had an hour of fun with her singing Old Mac Donald and sitting beside me telling me I have gotten old because I wear glasses now! She is like a mini whirl wind but she is so much fun!

My Hair History

I thought it would be fun to look back on past hairstyles I have had! Be warned bad hair styles and pictures in this post! 

Once upon a time I looked like this! Golden wispy hair compete with a kiss curl!!

A few years later my hair had got a little longer and was still golden blonde compete with pigtails!


Fast forward 15 years and my hair was still blonde with dyed highlights and layers!

A few years later my hair was still blonde but cut to shoulder length with layers.

Two years later I was going through my crazy phase went to the hair dressers for a trim and came out with this! I got the chop!  Still blonde but short at the back and layers at the front.

Later that year I decided to go fiery red and I loved it!

The following year I kept the cut but went a purple colour!

Another year later my hair had grown out of the short cut style it was now a bob with a side fringe and a reddish brownish colour!

Two years later I had let my hair grow to mid length was back to my red colour and added a few extensions and curled it for our wedding day.



Now I have a full fringe and trying to let it grow.



Wow I can't believe I have had so many hairstyles! To be honest I am getting a little bored with my style at the moment not sure whats next!! Watch this space! Have a go a this post yourself its fun to see all the different styles through the years!

Five Things 5/52

Was another quiet weekend and yet we had a lovely one! Here are my five things!

Having a great time with my cousins. Dinner, wine, games, band hero, TV, and chocolate, had a lovely time with my family this weekend.

Friday night drinks it was lovely to chill out after a long week! Having a glass of wine and pizza on a Friday night bliss!!

Reading this wonderful book. I have always been fascinated by the Taylor/Burton love story how people can be so in love that they cant be without each other and yet cant be with each other either. The pictures and stories are amazing!

No Sunday Roast for us this Sunday we had hangover food of fish and chips! Its nice sometimes to have a break from the norm! I love Sunday roast but it was also nice to do no cooking on a Sunday for once and have a take out!

Watching my favourite episode of Father Ted...My Lovely Horse so funny I love it!

Hate

* The wet windy weather - Dublin has been having horrible weather all week. I got caught in rain, sleet and hailstone showers this week! Come on spring I am waiting for you!

* Being poorly - for the past two week I have felt awful, first tummy upsets from my meds, then a cold, now a ear infection and pms. Come on body give me a break!

* Litter bugs- I actually saw a man empty the contents of his pockets on the ground the other day disgusting! Come on people have respect for where you live and work!

Love

* Ms Kate Bush - listening to her music makes me smile, love her album The Hounds Of Love. Come on Kate gives us another album soon!

* February - Hooray its February and its almost spring! Come on hubby get me something nice for Valentines Day!

* Its Friday! The weekend stretched out before me! Come on weekend lets have some fun!
