Over The Weekend #48/#49 & Change of Seasons Slump

Last weekend for us was the last weekend of Summer
Saturday here in Dublin was a stunning day the temperatures soared and the sun shone
Two of our close friends got married, a beautiful day for a wedding!
My other friend came to do my hair and makeup. I went for a kind of 1950's dress that I have never wore before. I really liked this style and felt very glamorous!
It was a beautiful and very classy wedding, we had a lovely time catching up on friends we
haven't seen in a while. The bride looked breath taking and the groom scrubbed up well too! We seem to be at the age where all our friends and family are getting married, last year we had three weddings, this year two and next year three and each of them have been beautiful and different in there own way.
We danced the night away, took funny pictures and got quite drunk!
My parents babysat Oisìn and it was lovely to have a night to have a few drinks and relax
Luckily for us my parents also had Oisìn the next day so we could lie in and get over our hangovers in peace!
Since then I seem to be in a bit of a change of seasons slump!
I am in a reading, TV & blogging slump...I finally caught up on all my recorded TV last night! I just can't seem to get into any book I pick up so am taking a reading break
I just can't seem to get with it! I have spent the weekend deep cleaning the house and getting rid of junk. I had two black bags for the bin and one for the charity shop!
I done a bit over an overall on our bed room! I just need to get my mind set out of this little slump I am in at the moment!
Need to get myself some new Autumn clothes, candles and perfume so a shopping spree is needed once that happens I am sure I will be feeling better.
Going for a lovely lush bath then going to watch X Factor, Poldark & Victoria
Hope everyone had a nice week
Normal post will be back this week!

The Year That Was 2015

Another year over and since becoming a parent
the time just seems to be going so fast
I have to admit going into this new year I feel a bit
anxious I have never felt like that before
but I am a little nervous as to what 2016 will hold for us
I have a feeling it will be a time of change
as we are not sure if will be renewing our house for another year
and I am still sick with my twisted bowel so am hoping
that this will not drag on long into the new year
As a new year looks like a page unwritten
let look back on the full year of 2015

January- This not my favourite month of the year, bleak dark January days
Trying to shed the Christmas weight with empty bank balances! That said the past two years
January has been a nice month. Looking back Oisín looks so little and was going through a sock phase where he carried around a different sock for comfort. This month was spent eating comfort food, Sunday lunches with family, curling up lighting candles watching my favourite Sunday night shows.

February- I think we went a little stir crazy in Feb, the weather was freezing and
we where still getting our finances back on track after Christmas.
My friends and I went to see 50 shades of cringe this month and had a nice
girlie night with cocktails. It was also hubby's birthday this month
we enjoyed a lovely night out and a huge birthday dinner in my parents
It was also the month that Oisín finally got up and started walking!

March- This month was full of family time
We has lots of lovely family dinners, we had snow which Oisín was in awe off!
We had St Patrick's Day which was lots of fun and also Mother's Day in this month
Spring came in late March with the promise of brighter days

April- We had lots of lovely chocolate eggs for Easter
and my diet went out the window!
My friend got married this month and we had
a lovely time at the wedding

May- This was a nice month with a few nights out
at the theater with my parents and friends
We enjoyed an early bit of Summer with walks in the park,
swimming and playing in our garden

June- What a crazy busy month! My best friends
hen do was this month. Along with my Dad's birthday
Father's day and then at the end of the month
we flew out to Croatia to see our friends
get married and enjoy our first family holiday!

July- This was another crazy month
we finished our lovely holiday in Croatia
I started a detox to get bridesmaid ready for
my best friends wedding. I took a break from blogging
as I had so much going on! My favourite day of the year
was my best friends Wedding day when I was Bridesmaid
and Oisín was pageboy

August- Was a quite month after the madness of the past
few month. I went crazy and got the tattoo I wanted on my foot
Tir Na Nóg for my Oisín

September- One of my favourite months of the year
We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary
I enjoyed a few shopping spree's after losing some weight
in Slimming World and we had a lovely time for my Mam's Birthday

October- Not my favourite month as it was my brother's 9th anniversary
but Oisin helped me get through it and he loved Halloween
After weeks of worrying if he wouldn't enjoy it
he had a great time dressing up and getting sweets
Our cute little pumpkin!

November- I tried to get Christmas ready in November
It was the month to enjoy Autumn going on long walks
making homemade soup, drinking hot chocolate and getting cosy!

December- I really enjoyed the start of this month.
Seeing Oisín's eyes light up when he saw our Christmas tree
to bringing him on the Rathwood Santa Tree and our day
out to see the Christmas lights. I also really enjoyed my SW Christmas party
getting cosy while watching Christmas movies
but it was also the month my bowel twisted and I ended up in hospital
I was in pain over the Christmas time but it didn't stop me enjoying
seeing our little boy's face on Christmas morning
It was a month filled with birthdays too, mine, my father in law's and Oisín
we all had a little celebration in my parent in laws on the 26th which was fun

2015 you have been one of our busiest and fun years
2016 please be good to us and lets see what you have in store!

Babies, Babies Every Where!

Recently it seems my facebook newsfeed is full with friends announcing there pregnancy, Instagram is full of scan pictures, youtube is awash with pregnancy announcements, my blogger feed is all pregnancy updates along with some close friends also announcing there pregnancy
I am totally happy and blessed for all these people, family friends, social media friends and strangers
Creating and bringing a new life into the world is an amazing thing. One of the best feelings in the world. The love for your child is like no other and a love I never truly understood until my son came along.
Now that Oisín is almost two I have longed to get pregnant and have a sibling for him. With my PCOS such a big part of my life I knew we would have to try for a while. We have being trying for almost a year now with no result, the treatment which seemed to have worked the first time around is not working. I have lost weight and have undergone a lifestyle change in eating right, losing weight weekly, do weekly exercise and start yoga classes. Nothing seemed to be working this time around for us, but we did get some good news this week.
We are now starting a new fertility treatment which is a little more intense which fingers crossed might work. I am taking a no stress approach this time around, trying to not let getting pregnant take up all my mind space and time.
I hate when people ask me when are you having another one (meaning baby) Sometimes its not as easy as having another and sometimes couples can't have another child for one reason or other.
I am not giving up yet but if it never happens for me again at least I have this beautiful face

I might never be a Mammy to a large family but I AM a Mammy and thats all I ever wanted

We had friends over Saturday night for some food
Then we chilled out on Sunday!
Poor Oisín is cutting his last three teeth so Sunday

high and I was almost going to the hospital
He seems a little better today but not great
so not alot of sleep was had last night!

Feet up on Friday night with a
glass of wine watching Gogglebox!

Oisín and I went for long walks in the park
on Saturday

Before I went and got my nails done

 Sunday afternoon was spent
looking after this poor teething little man

So when Paul got home I
enjoyed one of these watching the rugby

Yummy Sunday dinner!

Over The Summer

Over the summer I felt I needed a little break from blogging
I found I wasn't enjoying blogging
So I took a break over the Summer to enjoy being a family
We had so much on here is what we got up to over the Summer months

In June my Mam and I went on my very best friends hen do
in Dublin it was great fun. We had drinks in her parents house then on to
a party bus, before cocktail making and a three course meal it
was a fab night!
Soon afterwards we flew to Croatia for our other friends wedding
it was a stunning day. The bride looked amazing and I couldn't help but
relax while sipping champagne while looking out to sea at the drinks reception
Oisín was made feel so welcome, he was the star of the show, clapping at the
speeches and dancing with the bride and groom at the reception
It's was a beautiful wedding that we will be talking of for years to come.

We stayed in Croatia for a week after the wedding and had our first family holiday
We had a wonderful week Oisín swam in the sea, we drank cocktails, went to Dubrovnik (Kings Landing to Game of Thrones fans) ate lovely food, went a amazing boat tour and went out in the evenings thanks to my Mam babysitting. It was a wonderful first family holiday can't wait for our next one!

We had lots of fun filled family days out
we went to Dublin Zoo and Oisín really enjoyed seeing all the different animals
everything was a tiger or a dog to him! I have lots of different memories of going to Dublin Zoo as a child so I was really excited to bring Oisín. We had a lovely day plus it didn't rain which is rare after the summer we had in Dublin
We also went to the RDS Horse Show which is fast becoming a tradition for us as we went last year and we look forward to it all summer.
Oisín really enjoyed it this year he went on his very own horse ride this year
but he hated it and only went half way around before he got off!!

Summer has also been filled with small little family days
Like when Granddad babysit Oisín for a morning alone and I came
home from work to find them both playing on the swings!
Oisín loves his Grandparents and loves to take Nanny's washing out of her washing machine!
We also celebrated my Great Aunts 80th birthday and had a great night out

My most favourite day of the summer was a month ago
when my best friend got married. I was honoured to be her bridesmaid
and got to walk up the aisle with my little boy Oisín who was pageboy
I can't wait to see the professional wedding photographs
My friend looked amazing the sun shone and the wedding was stunning from start
to finish. I was also honoured to say a speech at the reception and then got to dance the night away!
It was a most beautiful day and fun filled night that I will never forget

So now Summer is over and to be honest weather wise it never really started here in Ireland
With so much going on this Summer I am now looking forward
to a relaxing candle filled Autumn!!
