Over The Weekend #30

The weather here in Dublin this weekend was fab
we didn't do much but we had a lovely weekend

Friday evening was spent in our garden cutting the grass and planting flowers.
When Oisìn went to bed hubby enjoyed a couple of beers and I tried Aldi's gin and tonic
while we caught up on TV from the week. Hubby loved the new Sky show Billions but
I wasn't really in to it

Saturday morning we went to our local park
and then to Paul's parents house. Oisìn really enjoyed playing with
his cousins, Uncles and Aunt and of course the family dog JJ!

When we got home we had more things to do in our garden
painting our picnic bench was one of the things to do
Oisìn loves to help with everything so here he is helping Daddy
Thankfully he soon got bored and went back to playing with his sandpit!

After a small BBQ it was hot dogs & cheese burgers!
It was bath time for Oisìn he really needed at this stage he was a mixture of
paint, sand, red sauce, sun cream and mustard!
While Paul was bathing Oisìn I showered, Paul and I then enjoyed a drink
while watching Outlander

Paul had to work today he was working till 4pm
Before he left this morning we had a family breakfast
Oisìn and I didn't do much today but enjoy the sun in our back garden
We popped in to my parents for a little while but we mostly spent the day in the garden
Eating ice cream, playing various car games, listening to music and reading
It was a lovely relaxing day and days like this I love Summer
I am shattered now and heading to bed with a book
Hope you all had a lovely weekend

Over The Summer

Over the summer I felt I needed a little break from blogging
I found I wasn't enjoying blogging
So I took a break over the Summer to enjoy being a family
We had so much on here is what we got up to over the Summer months

In June my Mam and I went on my very best friends hen do
in Dublin it was great fun. We had drinks in her parents house then on to
a party bus, before cocktail making and a three course meal it
was a fab night!
Soon afterwards we flew to Croatia for our other friends wedding
it was a stunning day. The bride looked amazing and I couldn't help but
relax while sipping champagne while looking out to sea at the drinks reception
Oisín was made feel so welcome, he was the star of the show, clapping at the
speeches and dancing with the bride and groom at the reception
It's was a beautiful wedding that we will be talking of for years to come.

We stayed in Croatia for a week after the wedding and had our first family holiday
We had a wonderful week Oisín swam in the sea, we drank cocktails, went to Dubrovnik (Kings Landing to Game of Thrones fans) ate lovely food, went a amazing boat tour and went out in the evenings thanks to my Mam babysitting. It was a wonderful first family holiday can't wait for our next one!

We had lots of fun filled family days out
we went to Dublin Zoo and Oisín really enjoyed seeing all the different animals
everything was a tiger or a dog to him! I have lots of different memories of going to Dublin Zoo as a child so I was really excited to bring Oisín. We had a lovely day plus it didn't rain which is rare after the summer we had in Dublin
We also went to the RDS Horse Show which is fast becoming a tradition for us as we went last year and we look forward to it all summer.
Oisín really enjoyed it this year he went on his very own horse ride this year
but he hated it and only went half way around before he got off!!

Summer has also been filled with small little family days
Like when Granddad babysit Oisín for a morning alone and I came
home from work to find them both playing on the swings!
Oisín loves his Grandparents and loves to take Nanny's washing out of her washing machine!
We also celebrated my Great Aunts 80th birthday and had a great night out

My most favourite day of the summer was a month ago
when my best friend got married. I was honoured to be her bridesmaid
and got to walk up the aisle with my little boy Oisín who was pageboy
I can't wait to see the professional wedding photographs
My friend looked amazing the sun shone and the wedding was stunning from start
to finish. I was also honoured to say a speech at the reception and then got to dance the night away!
It was a most beautiful day and fun filled night that I will never forget

So now Summer is over and to be honest weather wise it never really started here in Ireland
With so much going on this Summer I am now looking forward
to a relaxing candle filled Autumn!!

Favourites From The Summer

What was my favourite trip/holiday from the summer?
Our trip to Bulgaria, it was still in the early days of my pregnancy I still had bad morning sickness but I was so glad to get away for a while. We had a lovely time and it was so nice to get away as a couple, not sure when that will happen again!

What was my favourite outfit of the summer?
I didn't really have a favourite outfit of the summer as everything started to get to small for me as bump got bigger!! I did wear a outfit of a black and orange top with an orange long maxi skirt a lot of the summer as it was the most stretchy outfit I had!

What is the one thing I wish I done more of this summer?
I do wish I could of took more walks in the park when the weather was warm due to morning sickness and fatigue I didn't get out to the park as much as I would of liked.

What was my favourite song of the summer?
I really liked Get Lucky by Daft Punk couldn't get that song out of my head!

What was my favourite movie/TV show of the summer?
Favourite movie was Man of Steel really enjoyed that and TV it wasn't shown in the summer but I discovered it in the summer was Game of Thrones!

Bye Summer 2013 we really enjoyed you.

The Glad Game

The Glad Game Things I am Glad for:
