My Week In Pictures 15/52

This week was spent mostly feeling ill
still not over my infections and my ear infections
are really taking a while to clear up
I went back to the doctor this week
and was put on another two course
of antibiotics I am really
hoping that by next week I start
to feel better 

Saturday:

Another day with a view like this!

I should be enjoying the lie in that I am getting in the mornings and

people fussing over me

but I'm not I want to get better, to look after my little boy

and get back to work!

Sunday:

Oisin home from staying in his Grandparents
while I was sick and the hubby was looking after me
back in my arms where he belongs

Monday:

Cranky teething baby alert!

Tuesday:

How cute is this little guy
toys everywhere and Granddad's cap on!
He has been so good while Mammy has been ill

Wednesday:

After a horrible day and back to the doctor
for another course of antibiotics
it was time to settle down with a large cup of tea
and The Great British Bake Off

Thursday:

Time to start lighting my favourite candles again!

Friday:

Time for some Friday night
tea and cake!

What I Ate Wednesday

After being really sick for the past week 

and getting a telling off from my doctor

about my diet which lead me to be run down

and then unable to fight off the bad infections 

I am going to try and get back to the good diet I

was on when pregnant on Oisin

I am also going to try add what Oisin ate that they too

his diet is alot better then mine to be honest!

These pictures are not going to be the prettiest but

I do want to keep a little food diary of what

I am eating and try to stay on track of

eating well 

Breakfast 7am:

For breakfast this morning I had

a large glass of cold water with ice

a cup of tea with milk and

two weetabix with warm milk

Oisin had porridge with some added

orange segments

and a 5oz bottle of milk

Snack 11am:

I didn't snack much today as I am

still unwell with my jaw and ear
infections but Oisín snacked on orange
and drank juice

Lunch 1pm:

I still wasn't feeling well today
so lunch was a quick
cheese and ham on toast
with another glass of water
and cup of tea

Oisín's lunch was some mash potato and

broccoli left over from yesterday and some cheese

with an 4oz bottle of milk

Dinner 6pm:

Sorry about this picture I ate some before remembering 

to take the picture!

Dinner was a quick spicy chicken with

red peppers, tomatoes and rice

Oisín had some mash potato,

carrot, broccoli, chicken and

gravy left over from yesterday which I

blended up with a 5oz bottle

That's it week on of what I ate Wednesday
hoping it will be better next week!

Bump To Baby - He's Here - 8 Month Update

Milestones:

Oisín can now clap hands when you tell him too!
Eating alot more finger foods
Oisín has now started drinking from a slippy cup
Grasps at everything remote controls and phones!
Oisín has got very vocally and loves to hear himself scream and laugh

How Many Months Old?: 8 Months

Weight & Height?: I think around about the same as last month although he is in 12-18 month clothes now!

How Is Baby Eating?: Oisín has always been a great eater! He loves his finger foods even more this month

How Is Baby Sleeping?: We have been so lucky to have a baby that more or less slept straight through the night from around two months old. Oisín is going through a bit of a growth spurt at the moment so some mornings he will wake up at 6/7am for a bottle and go back to sleep till around 10am, other mornings he will not go back to sleep after the 7am bottle and will be up for the day! He still takes around 2 or 3 cat naps a day for about 30 minutes each.

Is Baby Crawling or Walking Yet?: Still isn't crawling yet but is getting into crawling position and kind of shuffling around! 

Is Baby Talking Yet?: Lots of baby talk going on with Oisín he loves to say baba, dada, lala, still no mama yet! He also alot of baby gibberish and he loves to yell, scream, laugh and blow raspberries  

How is Baby's Routine?: Oisín's routine is more or less the same as the past couple of months.

How is Mammy & Daddy this Month?: I kind of crashed and burned this month, got a double ear infection and jaw infection. I have been on antibiotics and ear drops the past week, got plenty of rest and changed my diet, but I still don't feel well so back to the doctor tomorrow.

Worst Moment Of the Month?: Being sick the past week and not spending the time to play with Oisín

Best Moment Of the Month?: When I asked him to clap hands and he did, when I said good boy he was so happy with himself and now claps hands all the time!

Things That Made Me Say Yeah 10/52

This is a tough one to be honest
didn't have much to say yeah about this weekend
as I was very sick since Thursday
but I tried to look on the bright side!

My lovely boys how
big does Oisín look!
Oisin had to stay in his Grandparents
for Friday and Saturday
as I was too unwell
I was on really strong penicillin which also
made me very drowsy
So Paul was looking after me
have to say he has been great

Yippee Oisín's home!!
He came home Sunday morning and it was so lovely to
have him back home
I am still really unwell but hubby has been great

Our boy is so good natured and loves to play

Sleeping in my arms where he belongs

My Week In Pictures 14/52

What a week that was!! I started to feel very run down

Monday/Tuesday thought no more of it that it was just fatigue

and the joys of being a busy working Mum

Started off a fitness plan on Wednesday 

woke 5am on Thursday morning unable to hear

and with a golf ball sized lump on my left jaw!

I have an ear infection in both ears

and a jaw infection :(

Saturday:

Oisin playing on his new swings with his Dad!

Sunday:

I love these two so much
my Son and Goddaughter

Monday:

Sick of feeling so tired all the time
I am run down and need a tonic
also decided that I am going to get my fitness back on track
and give my the boost I need
I also now have a horrible ear infection :(

Tuesday:

Bought new trainers time to get fit
and get rid of this baby weight!

Wednesday:

Our little boy is getting so big he is almost
out of 12 month clothes already!
He is teething so badly its nice to see him sleeping

Thursday:

Been to the doctors after waking up
not being able to hear and a
golf ball sized lump on my left jaw
turns out I have an ear infection in both ears
and a jaw infection!
I am on strong penicillin antibiotic, ear drops and
pain killers
My Mam and Dad are great they looked after Oisin while Paul
was in work and now if this doesn't cure me nothing will
a huge bowl of my Mammy's Irish Stew nothing beats it!

Friday:

My view right now
told by the doctor to rest, rest rest after
I blacked out today.
Thank God my parents-inlaw where looking after Oisin
Paul was called home from work and I
feel like and idiot!
The medication I am on for my infections is very strong
and I didn't realise that and wasn't resting up as
I should have been lesson learned!

Things That Made Me Say Yeah 9/52

A really late post this week but here is what made me say yeah this past weekend:

We bought Oisin an early birthday present of a set of swings

looking at his face on them was priceless

he loves his swings and cries when he has to finish on it!

Our back yard still looks like a bit of a forest but we are doing our best to try 

get it finished and cleaned up before the end of the summer

Falling asleep with this little man after a day of playing on swings

I love moments like this

My Uncle and Goddaughter where staying over this weekend
and we had some more lovely family time
I love how Oisin and Laura May are together
This is what makes my heart smile

My Week In Pictures 13/52

This week was a bit hard for me
the sudden death of Robin Williams
brought up alot of hard memories and feelings
of my brothers death, but I look at my son and
husband and feel blessed at what I have x

Saturday:

We had a few pictures for Saturday
we went to the Dublin Irish Horse Show in the RDS
we had a lovely day out

Sunday:

Sunday night wine time, with popcorn and a movie!

Monday:

Oisín's hair is growing more spiky every day!
Look at his fast asleep with his mouth wide open!

Tuesday:

The news of Robin Williams death really had me heartbroken
one of my favourite childhood memories was watching
old re-runs of Mork and Mindy at tea time with my family
it also brought up alot of hard feeling and memories of
my brothers death. RIP Robin

Wednesday:

Trying out this coffee for my nepresso machine from Lidi

Thursday:

We bought Oisin and early birthday present of a set of swings

we have never had our own back garden so we saw a

set of swings going cheap in Smiths toy store and decided to pick them

up as an early birthday present for Oisin!

Friday:

We are going to sit down and watching the
wonderful late Robin Williams in Hook
one of my favourite movies

Things That Make Me Say Yeah 8/52

We has a lovely weekend
for me it was a long weekend
I took Friday off work as I was owed hours
Oisin and I had a nice day together
playing and watching Jurassic Park

Then on Saturday we had a lovely family day
out at the Dublin Horse Show
we saw Bruce Springsteen's daughter
Jessica horse riding sadly we didn't see the boss!
We had a lovely day of eating ice-cream, Irish dancing,
drinking prosseco and eating yummy food!

Sunday we had a lazy rainy Sunday quite like last Sunday
we ate comfort food,
watched movies and stayed indoors

This week has gone by so quick here are my

Sunday:

Myself, the hubby and baby had a lazy rainy day
we drank tea, watched TV and ate homemade shepherds pie

Monday:

Eating ice-cream after the last bank holiday here in
Ireland till October

Tuesday:

After a crazy busy day in work
chilling out with the hubby, enjoying a glass of wine and the Tudors

Wednesday:

Thursday:

Needed this caffeine boost this morning
feeling so tired all week!

Friday:

A wall of cushions! Oisin is sitting unaided and
trying to crawl so much today!
