Over The Weekend #44

This weekend was a nice one
I was shattered from hospital appointments and not getting the answers I wanted from doctors
but I put that one side to have a lovely family weekend
Saturday morning I had a bit of a lie in with breakfast in bed from hubby
then I had to go get bloods done in the hospital
Then we headed to the cinema with Oisìn

We went to see Ice Age Collision Course in the Kids Cinema Club
Oisìn wasn't a big fan of this movie after a about an hour when all the popcorn and sweets where gone he got bored! This added with potty training he had to go to the toilet five times in an hour and half!
I didn't think much of the movie myself and I love kids movies!
We are going to wait and go to see Finding Dory next!
After the cinema we went for lunch and done a bit of shopping
and then went to the In Laws for a cuppa and chat
Sunday was a chill out day!
We walked to the local shops for a few bits
We had planned to go to the park but the weather was cold and wet here in Dublin
So it was back to the house and this yummy Sunday Roast!

Oisìn really enjoyed his Sunday Lunch and had second helpings
This was his third outfit of the day after being so good all week with toilet training
He had three accidents on Sunday! Guess he will have good days and bad days!
After dinner we had cheese cake and coffee and I started Finding Fraser
which I am helping with my Droughtlander I am really missing Outlander on the TV!

After Oisìn was bathed and put to bed I relaxed with a glass of rosè!
So that was our weekend nothing too crazy or busy but we enjoyed it all the same!

Over The Weekend #22

This weekend didn't go much to plan
Some of my family was home from America so we had plans to met up
But on Saturday morning my chronic twisted bowel pain was back
I couldn't do much other that sit in bed Saturday
We did met up in my house the kids played out in the back graden
I also had a sincus and ear infection and Oisìn wasn't much himself either
He had the sniffles due to cutting his last two molars
Sunday was a better day thankfully and we felt well enough to venture outside!

Oisìn met his cousins Ciara and Noel for the first time
Ciara is nine months older than Oisìn and they got on so well together

Funny kids!

Sunday we went to the park and then for coffee
before everyone came up for a huge Sunday dinner!

Our yummy Sunday dinner!

Some of the gang trying to get a nice picture
with two toddlers and a baby is impossible!

Oisìn chilling out after a long weekend!!

How I finished off the weekend!

Over The Weekend #21

We had a nice family weekend
filled with children's birthday parties, walking in the fresh air
early nights, reading and family dinners
Doesn't sound like much but it was bliss

Friday night I enjoyed a much need glass of red while watching Gogglebox
I was shattered after a long week

Saturday was spent doing housework
and I started to Spring clean our back garden so
that Oisìn can start playing back out there soon
Paul brought Oisìn to a Easter theme children's party
he had great fun but was terrified of the Easter bunny!!

Daddy and son tired after a day of parties!

Saturday night I had a hot bubble bath, hot chocolate
and a read of a new book...it's the simple things!

Sunday morning Oisín and I where up early
done some cleaning and went to church
When we got back we made Paul breakfast in bed
nice for him to get it for a change!
Oisín spent most of the morning wearing a Christmas hat and singing Christmas songs
I think this is because his favourite TV ad from Christmas
Aldi Favourite Things is back on the TV again this time for Easter
and he is getting a little confused!
We went to the park with Oisín's trike and had fun

We had a lovely roast pork Sunday lunch
Then watched a family movie this time it was Finding Nemo
It was bath night which Oisín loves and then
when Oisín was asleep back and I watched a couple of episodes of Gotham
By 10pm I was shattered so took myself off to bed for an early night!
It was a slow paced family weekend and I loved it!

Over The Weekend #13

My Christmas blogging didn't go to plan at all
After I got out of hospital I was too busy trying to get better
and finish all my Christmas jobs that I didn't have time to blog
Then over the Christmas break I was still in pain
and I am still unwell now waiting on a date for an op
to get this twisted bowel sorted!

So this weekend was a slow and easy one

We took down most of our Christmas decorations
Just left the tree up till 12th night which is a tradition in my family
since I was a child

Afterwards we went for a last festive coffee of the season
Oisín really enjoyed his milk and cake!

We enjoyed lovely onion, apple roast pork on Sunday

And then settled down with the last of
the Christmas goodies, red wine, chicken liver pate and crackers
and watched a night of good telly!

My Favourite Autumn/Winter TV Shows

Autum/Winter TV is always be great
here are some of my favourites!

Downton Abbey is always a favourite in our house
I have been watching it for the past five years
last year I got my husband watching too
So this year we have both been enjoy a glass of red wine
and an hour of escapism on a Sunday evening
I did enjoy this season but I did feel it lacked
some of the fire, of past seasons but I am
still really looking forward to the Christmas special!

I only started watching this series the past couple of months
when the box set became available on Sky, my husband talked me into
giving it a go. He has been watching it since the pilot episode which was five years ago!
I have to admit I am loving this show! Horror, gory and zombies are so not my thing,
but I really enjoy this show. It's really well written and the cast is really good.
There are only two episodes left before the mid-season finale then its not back on our screens till
February!

We have been watching this show for a while now
our favourite is Phil how can you just not laugh at how
everything goes wrong for him! Hoping this season will be
as good as last year.

We have been watching this show from
the very start and I love how far the characters have come
now they are geeks/nerds with wives and girlfriends!
Looking forward to see how this season develops

Finally my new favourite this Autumn is
Outlander. I only started watching this last week
it started a while back here in Ireland
I just hit series link on our Sky box and forgot about it.
I wasn't expecting much but this has totally sucked me in
the cast, acting and music is really good
Can I be whisked off to the Scottish highlands now please!

Things That Made Me Say Yeah 7/52

Well it was a bank holiday weekend here in Ireland last weekend,
we had a bit of mixed bag of a weekend
instead of bbq's we got rain
instead of lie-ins we got a cranky teething baby
and a leaking roof!
Things that didn't make me say yeah was the awful
down pour of rain we got over the weekend
which then made our roof leak
so we had a bucket in our bedroom
the whole weekend until we could get
someone out to fix this week!!

Now on to the things that did make me say yeah!

My baby is getting less of a baby
and more a little boy everyday!

I recycled this picture I had some lovely
couple time with the hubby this weekend
with movies, wine and beer I just forgot to take
a picture of it!

Instead of the BBQ we had planned on Sunday
we had a rainy and windy Sunday
so the hubby made shepherds pie
it was yummy!

Myself, hubby and baby had a really
lazy Sunday and we really enjoyed it!

Sunday Picture 8/52

Here is our Sunday Picture for this week:
Lazy long weekend lie in's are so much better with this little man around
Smiles in the morning are great and Oisín decided he wanted to learn how to sit up this
morning and spent fifteen minutes pulling himself up into a sitting position!

Five Things 31/52

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend, the weather here was lovely and mild again this weekend! We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying family time. Big shout out to my wonderful Mammy it's her birthday today so a huge Happy Birthday to her.
Here are my five things from this weekend:

Early weekend treat! I bought these My Little Pony pyjamas on Friday. By Friday night I was snuggling in them with a cup of hot chocolate!

On Saturday we had my parents up for a family dinner to celebrate my Mam's birthday. As Paul and my Dad are on shift work Saturday was the only day that suited them both. Paul made this amazing dinner, leg of lamb with all the trimmings. We all scoffed it and couldn't move after it!

When we could finally move a few hours after dinner we wished my Mam a Happy Birthday with this cookie cake!

Lazy Sunday mornings of blueberry muffins, orange juice, tea and the Sunday papers...bliss!

I have been missing my glass of red while watching Downton Abbey on Sundays. So I was really happy when I found this non alcoholic red wine. It is a little bitter and tart but I can pretend to have a glass of red while watching my favourite show!

I'm off now to visit my Mam and give her birthday presents. Enjoy the rest of your day. What's your five things from the weekend?
