Snow Day!

We had more of a snow morning instead of a snow day! By dinner time most of the snow had melted here in Dublin but it was lovely while it lasted!

I had a nice day at home a side from the fact that I had a poorly tummy :( I spent the day drink tea, lighting candles and listening to the sound of children laughing and playing in the snow. Ireland has been lucky we haven't had much snow this winter and seem to be getting the tail end of the UK's cold snap. Hope you all had a lovely snow day!

Five Things! 3/52

We had such a lovely weekend it was hard just to pick five things!

Meeting friends, having a catch up and going for a lovely meal and drinks. It was 4am before we went to bed!! Haven't had a night like this in ages!

Having some retail therapy I so over spent but it cheered me up as I was feeling really poorly and was out of work for most of the week.

Loving this Moroccan hair oil I got as a Christmas present off a friend. It makes my hair feel soft and it makes my hair look fuller and silky. My new favourite must have!

Going to a half price Yankee Candle outlet with a friend and buying half the shop! Lovely smell of this one called Cherries on Snow its going lovely with the cold weather we have been getting.

Chilling out on Sunday evening with a glass of red and catching up on one of my favourite shows.

That's my top five things over the weekend. Whats yours?

Five Amazing People In My Life...

My brother he was my best friend for a very long time. We understood each other better than anyone else. There was only a year in our age different so we were best friends as well as brother and sister. He brought the man I love my husband into my life and I will always be forever grateful for that. I miss him very much but I know he is with me, in times of need he is our family angel.

My hubby Paul he is my rock, my friend, my handy man, my cook, my cleaner, my annoying little shit, my tea maker, my swim teacher, my companion, my cheesy joke teller, my junk collector, my mess maker, my hug giver, my alarm clock, my motivator, my lover and my husband. He loves me for me and I can't ask for more than that x

My Mammy is the best, but I bet we all say that but its true. Mammy's are wonderful aren't they? My Mammy is my best friend I can tell her anything and she never judges me. I go to her for help for motivation, for advice, for tea and for hugs! She makes the best Irish stew EVER and makes a mean cup of tea! I love going out shopping with her and if I try something on that she doesn't like on me she will just say something like "I've seen you in nicer things love" that's her way of saying my bum looks big in it! Love you Mammy....x

My Daddy he is so funny the joke teller of our family. He makes me smile when I am down. He gets me! He knows if I am having a bed day or if I am feeling a little blue. He is great for having a heart to heart he gives me great advice but is terrible at taking advice! He treats me like his little princess and sometime still thinks I am five! He loves his pint of Guinness and tells everyone that is the secret of staying young! When him and Paul get together they are so funny, joking and ganging up on me and Mum! I will always be a Daddy's girl x

My Father In Law Eddie. He is a wonderful man always ready for a joke or a story, like my Dad he comes from different times. When people had nothing and where lucky to have clothes on there backs. He went from having nothing to making a huge career for himself with the help of his brothers. He always give me a cuddle when I see him and I feel like he is my Dad too. I am so lucky to have a wonderful parents in-law as my mother in-law is an inspiration to me too x

January Blues

Is it just me or have you got the January blues too? I am not depressed or broke I am just missing the twinkle of Christmas lights in the dark nights. So much so I just had to keep some little twinkling lights!

My waist line is bigger than before Christmas and my dry January only least two weeks! I don't mind the dark days until Christmas when all the fairy lights light up the darkness but when everything goes back to normal I get a little blue! I am still enjoying candles and lighting lots to make it feel a little cosier!

I still enjoy winter its one of my favourite seasons but I will be happy when February rolls around as it give me something to look forward to Valentines day!

Battle of the Bulge - Update

At the moment Battle of the Bulge is on hold as I am quite happy with my weight I have lost a stone in weight and I am back down to a size 12. I think it has got to do with all the walking to and from work but also part of it is to do with the medication I am on for my PCOS as my hormone levels are back to normal. I feel a lot better in myself. I am walking everyday up to 5km and still go swimming most weeks. I have to be honest and say that I haven't been in the gym since November I am hoping to go back soon!
