On The Box This Week

Warning-TV Spoilers Ahead!

Now that these two are back on the telly
there is finally something good to watch on a Saturday night!
We love this show and it reminds me of Saturday night
telly as a kid a bit like Noel's house party and we love it!

This episode was basically a set up for the next few episodes
and season finale. Rick's group going after Negan's group
Which I think the group have really under-statemented especially Daryl
There is a whole weird love/lust triangle going one with Abe, Rosita and Sasha
Poor Rosita she always seems so much more into Abe that he is into her. I think she really does love him and even made that chain for him but he was thinking of Sasha the whole time he was with Rosita in these episode.
Jesus brings that group to hilltop but before we get a glimpse of Carl's state of mind
"A kid with a messed up face isn't a good first impression"
Rick lets Maggie do the talking probably a good idea after it knifes
one of the hilltop guys in the neck! The group find out that Negan and his group
make hilltop pay so that they don't attack them. Maggie does a deal and the group decided to go after Negan's group. We see a little scan of Maggie's and Glen's unborn baby at the end and even the hard men like Daryl and Abe had a smile on there face when they looked at it.
This episode felt a little thin and one of my main problems with this show is the pacing and filler episodes. I have always said to the hubby that this would be a much powerful show if like Game of Thrones there was ten or twelve episodes instead of the 16 we get in a season.
I also feel like they are maybe dragging out the Negan storyline I am hoping he is going to be as powerful and character based as The Governor and unlike Gareth who was killed off after three episodes

I watched this show two years ago on BBC but when it got
cancelled in Australia I thought that was the end of it
It finally got renewed and was shown in Australia last year
BBC 2 have been showing it this week and it picked off right where it left off
Set in the fictional estate of Ash Park in the 1950's we met
Elizabeth the woman who will do anything to keep her family name
She rules her children and grandchild with an iron rod, but she has some dark secrets of her own
I love the twists and secrets that come out as the seasons go on. I really like that it's
Sarah telling the story in Ash Park years later for a book.
I am really enjoying season three and hopefully will not have to wait so long for season four!
