What I Ate Thursday

The weeks are going by so fast! Here is what I ate today:

Breakfast - 8.30am
Manged to have a lie on this morning and Paul made me a boiled egg and toast this morning. I had this with a cup of tea and my diabetes and prenatal tablets.

Snack - 11.30am
For my mid-morning snack I had two mandarin oranges I just love this fruit!

Lunch - 1pm
For lunch today I had a bowl of chicken soup and one piece of granary bread. Nice and warming!

Snack - 4.30pm
I was quite peckish today so for a snack at 4.30pm I had some celery sticks (which I am loving at the moment) hummus and a cheese triangle with a tall glass of water.

Dinner - 6.30pm
Paul made this lovely dinner of steak with a mushroom, onion and cream sauce with home made potato wedges.

Snack - 9pm
Last snack of the day was a glass of water with ice and a small bowl of popcorn.

So that's what I ate today!

Bump To Baby - 34 Weeks Pregnant

- Little Blip is the size of a honey dew melon
- Baby has settled into it's birth position this week, which is a little scary!
- Had a hospital appt this morning and Doctor is happy with my sugar levels as they have levelled out!
- Also got told I will be getting induced at 38 weeks which is Christmas week!
- No exact date of getting induced should find out more in two weeks time at my next appt!

How Many Weeks Pregnant?: 34 Weeks

Nickname For Baby?: Little Blip

Gender Of Baby?: We don't know!

Any Stretch Marks Yet?: No new ones this week!

Any Maternity Clothes Yet?: Again nothing new this week!

Any Movement Yet?: Lots of movement again this week which is a great sign. At my hospital appt today we had a little scan to measure baby and baby was moving around lots. Doctor said it a good sign of a healthy and happy baby

How Is Sleeping?: Sleeping is not great like other weeks waiting up alot to go to the toilet and with aches and pains

Any Nausea?: None this week

Food Cravings?: Celery and hummus again this week!

Food Aversions?: None

Miss Anything From Before Being Pregnant?: Chocolate and wine!!

Symptoms This Week?: Lower back pain, pressure on my pelvis area! Trapped wind, heartburn and a little indigestion. Oh and I have been a little moody this week! I'm sure my husband would agree!! The main three symptoms this week where shortness of breath (as baby hasn't dropped yet) braxton hicks was very bad this week and fatigue I just feel tired all the time!!

Worst Moment Of the Week?: No worse moment of the week. There has been a few very uncomfortable moments but nothing too bad!

Best Moment Of the Week?: Being told today in the hospital that my sugar levels have dropped and have levelled off the way they should. Also being told that I will be getting induced at 38 weeks give or take a few days at least now we will have some sort of idea of when to expect little blip! Before or after Christmas Day place your bets now!!

Five Things 39/52

Hey everyone, hope your weekend was good, doesn't it always go too fast?! Ours was a busy one but a really nice one! Finally got my way and got my hubby to agree to put up our Christmas decorations!! Here are my five things of the weekend:

Reading this book by Tess Daly I am really enjoying it. It's not a guide it just her own experiences being, pregnant, childbirth, and babies.

Another little Christmas treat to Starbucks this time with the in-laws after picking out little blips cot. This time I had toffee nut decaf latte and a lemon seed muffin. Here is a little pic of the cot we picked, thanks Eddie and Bibi (Mammy and Daddy In-Law) we love it xx

Catching up with a close friend who brought beautiful flowers! Love girlie catch ups!

Finally getting the hubby on board to put up our Christmas decorations, people may think we are mad but I don't care I love Christmas and I want to show it! Wonder if Little Blip will see this Christmas or will it be New Year when it makes it's way into the world?!

Settling down after a lovely bath, with a cheeky baileys to watch our first Christmas movie of the season Trading Places......never got to finish the baileys as I feel asleep 30 mins into the movie!

So that's my five things what's yours?

What I Ate Thursday

Sorry its late but was crazy busy yesterday! Here's another week of What I Ate Thursday gestational diabetes diet:

Breakfast - 8am
I was cold this morning and wanted some quick and warming. So I had two weetabix with some warm milk and a glass of cold milk with my gestational tablets and prenatal tablets with my breakfast.

Snack - 11am
My mid-morning snack was a pear and a mandarin orange.

Lunch - 1.30pm
For lunch today I fancied some plain cheese on grandary toast with a cup of tea.

Snack - 4pm
I just had two string cheese today for my afternoon snack

Dinner - 7pm
We just knocked something together quickly for dinner this evening. It was Jamie Oliver's lamp mince kebabs, with corn on the cob and a small salad. I really enjoyed this and my sugar levels where really good after it.

Snack - 9.30pm
Last snack of the day was no added sugar jelly and a large glass of water.

So that's what I ate today. I am finding the past few weeks my appetite hasn't been as big think it's due to size of baby and lack of room in there now!!
