Hey everyone, as I have been told I have gestational diabetes my diet is going to change over the next few months. I have to eat more often as I was sometimes skipping meals or have long gaps in between meals so I need to have a couple more snacks during the day. Eat more wholegrain foods and cut out all sweet things. I had a information day today in the hospital so I ate normal in the morning as I wasn't sure what I could and couldn't eat. Things will be changing from today onwards. Anyhow here's what I ate today:
Breakfast
I wasn't sure what I couldn't and couldn't eat today so I had Special K with milk, a glass of orange juice (which I can no longer have) with my iron supplement and my prenatal tablet.
Lunch
At lunch time I had more of an idea of what I could and couldn't eat we went to The Bagel Factory I had a decaf Latte with a wholemeal bagel with chicken, mayo, cheese and rocket.
Dinner
We had beef with mixed pepper skewers with corn on the cob and a glass of milk.
Snacks/Treats
I only had some cheese strings and bottled water as snacks today. This will be changing from tomorrow as I need to have three snacks times a day!
So that's what I ate today, how about you?
